SPECIAL APPEAL TO AFRICANS IN IRELAND FOR SOLIDARITY WITH OUR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHILDREN, MOTHERS, MEN AND WOMEN CAUGHT IN DROUGHT SITUTION IN THE HORN OF AFRICA
Dear brothers and sisters- Africans living in Ireland,
As we are putting a pen to paper for this appeal the drought situation facing more than 12 million people in the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia) has turned into famine in some areas as declared by the United Nation recently- 20th of July, 2011. This means there is very little of food to live on in these areas and already a number of children are dying from lack of food and nutrition.

We are making a special appeal to each African living in Ireland for whatever donation and contribution you can make now to save the life of our own brothers and sisters who are in this helpless situation not of their own choice. It is in times and crises like these that we need most to stand in solidarity with our fellow Africans wherever they are as we are one of their most dependable hopes of seeing another day.

This is the list of organizations that are right now working to help people in the Horn Africa. Please contact any one of them to send your donation, Concern, www. concern.net, Chrisitianaid.ie , Goal www.goal.ie, Trocaire www.trocaire.org, Worldvision www.worldvision.ie. Churches and mosques are receiving donation you can walk and give there.

Thanks very much in advance for your support,
