CELEBRATION OF OBAMA IN HIS VILLAGE HOME IN MONEYGALL BY AFRICAN COMMUNITY

Dear Friends, African students, members of African community,

President Obama in Ireland! To celebrate his coming the African Students Associations of Ireland and supporting members from the African Community and other new communities have prepared with the Irish cousin of President Obama Henry Healy an evening of celebrations at the ancentral home of President Barack Obama in Moneygall village as a prelude and preparation for the president visit at the village.

As places will be limited for every one to join the President, the African students associations and Irish cousin of President Obama have found it important particularly for members of African community to have a unique point of celebration of Obama visit and leave a mark in this visit. This celebration will take place on Friday 20th of May in Moneygall village from 3pm.

The places are limited to join the trip and this festive evening with cousin of Obama and the people of village of Moneygall and many guests that have arrived for the president visit as well as the local and international media.

Members from African students, African community and other new communities in Dublin who are interested to join this celebration are invited to contact the organizers as soon as possible to submit their name and euro 12 fee for the transport to the event. This has to be done between Today, Wednesday and Thursday 12th May.

You can submit your name and that of your friend and the transport fees at the following points:

2. Address 44 Lower Gardiner Street, opposite the spire in Oconnell street. Go to Multicultural Resouce centre

For this point meet Mubarak Habib or give him call at 0872780146, or 0879708680 This point is open Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm - 5pm only.

Performing at the event

Within this evening program there is a slot for members of African communities to perform music and drums and singing and dancing.
The organizing committee will invite two groups to join the celebration. If you are in or have a drumming African music group please contact the organizing committee at those points or via telephone or email. The committee will appoint only two groups to come basing on their record of performing as this is high profile event with local and world media watching.
