FIRST ALL AFRICAN STUDENTS CONFERENCE IN IRELAND TAKES PLACE

This was a one day conference which brought together all Africans students from all colleges, institutes and universities in Ireland.

The conference took place at Trinity College Dublin. 1st of May 2010 from 11am-3pm at the Emmet Theatre in the Arts Block.

The conference was divided into two main sessions:
1.Opening sessions: A key note speaker –Cllr. Rotimi Adebari County Councillor of Portlaoise ( First African councillor and Major of a City Council in Ireland.
The councillor and former major presented:
A paper on the challenges of Africans in Diaspora and the Role they have to play in Diaspora and for Development of Africa.

2.In Camera discussions on the proposed constitution and registration of African first members of Association.

3.Closing session: Coordinator of the Organizing Committee, summarizing deliberations and outlining the plan of action to formation and elections of leadership.
